How to Apply (via Step Up For Students)
We accept the FL Step Up Scholarships.
*If you don’t already have an account, choose "Sign Up" (Parent/Guardian) and register.
Upload the required documentation: proof of Florida residency (primary guardian), identity documents, student info. Some scholarships may also require income documentation or other eligibility materials (depending on the type). Click here to see the Scholarship Amounts.
Submit the application. Funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis each year.
Scholarship Types & What They Mean
PEP (Personalized Education Program) — An education-savings account (ESA) for students not enrolled full-time in public or private school, usable for a variety of educational needs (curriculum, tutoring, etc.).
*You may see "FTC/FES-EO" used together when referring to private-school scholarships, or "FTC/FES-EO/PEP" when looking at the full set of options.

Where the Voucher Can Be Used / What It Pays For
For FTC/FES-EO: At eligible private schools participating in the Step Up program. Always check with the school directly to ensure they accept the scholarship.
For PEP: Funds go into an ESA, which you can then use for approved educational services — curriculum, tutoring, contracted services, assessments, etc. Step Up For Students Click here for more information.
After your child is accepted for a scholarship, you’ll need to enroll them in the chosen private school (for FTC/FES-EO) or, for PEP, submit a Student Learning Plan (SLP) via the Step Up portal (EMA) to receive/disburse funds.
